SUMMARY:Siskiyou Audubon Christmas Party & Potluck Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Come join in the spirit of the season at our annual holiday and Christmas Potluck Dinner. Festivities begin at 4:00pm and we willl eat around 5:00p.m. \nMembers\, please bring a side dish and your own service ware (plate\, cutlery\, glassware). Siskiyou Audubon will provide a roast ham and roast turkey breast! \nWe’ll talk about birds\, and have an ornament exchange–maximum value $10\, new or gently used. There will be games\, including “Christmas Bingo.” Whoever wants to play\, please bring some $1.00 bills. We’ll play 2 or 3 games\, and the money will be the jackpot prize. Of course\, playing the games is optional (but fun!). \nCome share in the fellowship of Audubon!

DESCRIPTION:The Audubon Christmas Bird Count is the nation’s longest-running community science bird project! Since 1900\, it has taken place every year during the period from December 14 to January 5. This will be Siskiyou Audubon Society’s 43rd count! \nThis year SAS’s count will take place on December 14. Margaret James has volunteered once again to be the Compiler. \nCheck the national Audubon website for more information about the history and logistics of the count! \nJosephine County’s bird Count Circle has 11 sections. If you want to count\, you can count all day or any part of the day. If your home falls within the Circle\, you can count at home. But\, be sure to let Margaret know so she can advise the leader of the section in which you are located. SUMMARY:3rd Tuesday Bird Walk at Reinhart Park
DESCRIPTION:Birdwatchers\, join us for the regular monthly bird walk in Reinhart Volunteer Park\, Grants Pass. Meet a 9 a.m. in the big parking lot next to the Agnew-Lyttle Baseball Field. We walk from there down to the Rogue River\, using the paved path and rambling into the grassy areas closer to the River. We work our way upstream to the pedestrian bridge\, then go over the pond bridge as we return to our cars. The walk is about a mile\, suitable for off-road walking.
