SUMMARY:Chapter Meeting -- Program: "Golden Coyote Wetlands - Then and Now" by Audubon Members
DESCRIPTION:The meeting will begin with bird talk\, socializing and a free door prize will be raffled! Past door prizes have included bird related books\, bird seed\, bird houses and bird feeders. Society business and announcements will precede the main program. \nIn the early 2000’s\, a group of local folks headed by Eleanor Pugh worked together to restore the Coyote Creek Wetlands\, near Wolf Creek\, Oregon. These prime wetlands had been degraded during the 1800’s by men in search of placer gold. What did these wetlands look like as the restoration began\, and what do they look like now? Through images and words\, Susan Bush\, Fran Taylor\, and Lee Webb will bring you up to date! \nRefreshments will be served–quite possibly homemade goodies!

SUMMARY:3rd Tuesday Bird Walk at Reinhart Park
DESCRIPTION:Birdwatchers\, join us for the regular monthly bird walk in Reinhart Volunteer Park\, Grants Pass. Meet at 9:00 am (please note later time to adjust for seasonal changes in light) in the big parking lot next to the Agnew-Lyttle Baseball Field. We walk from there down to the Rogue River\, using the paved path and rambling into the grassy areas closer to the river. We work our way upstream to the pedestrian bridge\, then go over the pond bridge as we return to our cars. The walk is about a mile\, and takes about 2 hours. \nBlack Phoebe photo by Tom Hamilton taken on a previous bird walk. \nBring your binoculars and maybe a snack. Wear shoes suitable for off-road walking.
