SUMMARY:Chapter Meeting--Program: "Birds of Egypt" by John Taylor
DESCRIPTION:The meeting will begin with bird talk\, socializing and a free door prize will be raffled. Past door prizes have included bird related books\, bird seed\, bird houses and bird feeders! Society business and announcements will precede the main program. \nJohn & (the late) Joy Taylor took a birding trip to Egypt in 2008\, where they traveled up and down the Nile. In this program\, John will share his photos from the trip. As they sailed along\, they photographed birds from the upper deck of their boat. In front of the Cairo Museum (one of Pepper Trail’s favorite places) John photographed the Pallid Swift and the Hoopoe. Near Abu Simbel they saw a Steppe Eagle. \nLight refreshments will be served.

SUMMARY:3rd Tuesday Bird Walk at Reinhart Park
DESCRIPTION:Birdwatchers\, join us for the regular monthly bird walk in Reinhart Volunteer Park\, Grants Pass. Meet at 8:30 am in the big parking lot next to the Agnew-Lyttle Baseball Field. We walk from there down to the Rogue River\, using the paved path and rambling into the grassy areas closer to the river. We work our way upstream to the pedestrian bridge\, then go over the pond bridge as we return to our cars. the walk is about a mile\, and takes about 2 hours. \nThe Wrentit photo was provided by Tom Hamilton\, taken on a previous 3rd Tuesday bird walk! \nBring your binoculars and maybe a snack. Wear shoes suitable for off-road walking.
