Chapter Meeting: Program: “A Trip Back in Time — Historical Photograph Collection of the Kerbyville Museum of Josephine County” by Lee Webb

January 8 @ 6:00 pm7:30 pm

In 2012, Lee digitized the photographic archives of the Kerbyville Museum. The collection numbers over 2,000 images–landscapes, people, and activities such as mining, farming and logging–taken at locations all over Josephine County. Lee’s presentation features a sampling of these images, with emphasis on landscapes, many taken by photographers George Miessner and Burl Bogue, who roamed our area in the early 1900s. The show finishes up with a visit to Oregon Caves, a destination for many folks for well over 100 years. Bogue documented an arduous 1912 trip to Oregon Caves.

Lee Webb was the Forest Wildlife Biologist for the Rogue River Sisiyou National Forest from 1975 through 2003, and is the current president of the Siskiyou Audubon Society.

The program will follow our chapter meeting.
