126th Audubon Christmas Bird Count

The Audubon Christmas Bird Count is the nation’s longest-running community science bird project! Since 1900, it has taken place every year during the period from December 14 to January 5. This will be Siskiyou Audubon Society’s 43rd count!

This year SAS’s count will take place on December 14. Margaret James has volunteered once again to be the Compiler.

Check the national Audubon website for more information about the history and logistics of the count!

Josephine County’s bird Count Circle has 11 sections. If you want to count, you can count all day or any part of the day. If your home falls within the Circle, you can count at home. But, be sure to let Margaret know so she can advise the leader of the section in which you are located. Sign up directly with Margaret if you want to count or contact SAS by emailing us at:
