Chapter Meeting – Nominations for Election plus Program: Falcons for Fun and Usefulness by Howard Ward

Howard Ward has lived in Grants Pass since 1980, and has been married to the same lady for 45 years. His career was in auto body repair for 44 years, and when he retired he needed to find something to do. Then about fifteen years ago, his best friend got him into falconry. Howard will bring one or two falcons to the meeting. They have never been wild birds. Howard will discuss how he gets the falcons, their training and use, including information about the telemetry used to track them when they are in the field.
Prior to the program, the Siskiyou Audubon Society, will take nominations for openings on the Board. The roles coming open include Vice President and one Director position. Board terms are two years. Board members meet once a month September through May. At these meetings they plan activities and take an active role in the decision-making process of the Society. Please consider becoming a Board member to help drive the future of our group!
