Chapter Meeting — Program: “Golden Coyote Wetlands – Then and Now” by Audubon Members

October 9, 2025 @ 6:00 pm8:00 pm

The meeting will begin with bird talk, socializing and a free door prize will be raffled! Past door prizes have included bird related books, bird seed, bird houses and bird feeders. Society business and announcements will precede the main program.

In the early 2000’s, a group of local folks headed by Eleanor Pugh worked together to restore the Coyote Creek Wetlands, near Wolf Creek, Oregon. These prime wetlands had been degraded during the 1800’s by men in search of placer gold. What did these wetlands look like as the restoration began, and what do they look like now? Through images and words, Susan Bush, Fran Taylor, and Lee Webb will bring you up to date!

Refreshments will be served–quite possibly homemade goodies!
